Marine microbiology, Microbial ecology
I mainly focus on the relationship between algae and bacteria and their associated carbon flow, studying the bacterial resources and interaction mechanisms therein.I have an intense interest in algicidal bacteria, macroalgal organic matter-degrading bacteria (Verrucomicrobia in particular), and long-term interactions of algae and bacteria, and have conducted a series of studies. In addition, I have also recently focused on deep-sea microorganisms, especially chemoautotrophic microorganisms and energy microorganisms.
